The MEGA collector is a large collector, specially developed for solar thermal local and district heating applications, as well as process heating systems. The large collector diameter of D = 64
mm enables large collector areas with minimal piping. By interconnecting collector segments, a collector with up to 250 m² can be realized without additional piping at a pressure drop of 1 bar.
The physically switching off heat pipes prevent overheating, steam formation and the resulting cavitation impacts. The MEGA collector can be equipped with 3 different tubes.

With the MEGA collector, which has a DN 65 collector tube, a collector with up to 500 m² collector surface, can be connected to a line cable. The previously necessary small-scale division with
elaborate pipe connections is omitted. The MEGA collector uses tubes of the Heat Pipe design. These tubes are physically limited to 120°C by default and can neither overheat nor produce unwanted
vapor when properly pressurized. Cavitation impacts are excluded by this technology. The cut-off temperature of the tubes can be set between 120 ° C - 160 ° C according to customer requirements.
